Love your paintings, Gist. Do you work light to thick on these ala primas? I have trouble having the colors stand out when I put them on top of each other...
I do not, I primarily lay done a neutral stain first, but sometimes I even let that dry completely. Then I just start slinging relatively thick, opaque paint. I don't blend much though so I don't think it would be a problem. I try to carefully mix up a big pile of paint as accurately as I can then place the correct brushstroke in the correct place and leave it. It rarely works out this way, so there tends to be a lot of back and forth.

There is so much I've learned from just looking at your life drawings. Thanks for sharing Erik. Love your WoW stuff.
